Katie Duke was born in Boise, ID but grew up in the Willamette Valley. In 1990 her family began attending Jefferson Baptist Church and Katie attended and graduated from the private Christian school (which still exists at JBC as a Pre-Kinder program).
She attended one year at Corban University (then Western Baptist College) and then was engaged to and married her high school boyfriend Mitch Duke. (She is often tempted to wear a t-shirt explaining that she is married to Dee’s nephew!)
In 2000 Katie joined the staff at Jefferson Baptist Church as a part-time secretary for the Christian school. Katie moved to a full-time staff person at JBC in 2004 and wears many “hats” in her role.
Mitch & Katie Duke have one son, Gibson, and live in Millersburg, OR. Katie enjoys reading, listening to music, watching movies, and spending time at home.
