Sherri Wilson was born and raised in Jefferson, OR. She married her husband, Thomas, in 2009. Thomas is from Liberia, West Africa, and they met while Sherri was living and working in Liberia as a missionary.
Sherri grew up attending Jefferson Baptist Church, as she is one of Pastor Dee's children. She started volunteering in the children's ministry as a teen and helped in both weekend kids classes and AWANA for several years. While attending Multnomah Bible College in Portland, she volunteered in the children's ministry at the church she attended from 2000-2006. She also grew up working at Camp Jonah, and worked as their Program Director for about ten years planning and directing summer camps. In 2007, Sherri moved to Liberia, West Africa and worked in International Adoption and later at Samaritan's Purse Orphans and Vulnerable Children Program. After returning to the US in 2010, she volunteered on the Children's Ministry Team at one of the JBC daughter churches in Stayton for several years.
Sherri’s duties involve overseeing weekend KidZone ministry, recruiting & training all KidZone volunteers, and heading up the annual Vacation Bible School.
