About Perry Webb
As a teenager, Perry committed his life to following Jesus at a Youth For Christ rally the summer of 1962 at Winona Lake, Indiana. After high school, He headed west to run track for Westmont College. College chapels, prayer meetings, involvement with Campus Crusade for Christ (now CRU), and the Navigators, and attending Grace Bible Church in Santa Barbara encouraged his spiritual growth as a new believer.
After graduating from Westmont in 1968, he married Sue Evans of Los Gatos, California. They then moved to Texas where Perry enrolled at Dallas Theological Seminary. While at Dallas, they attended Irving Bible Church pastored by Chuck Swindoll. Perry and Sue were often privileged to babysit the Swindoll’s four children, and enjoyed several late night discussions with them about marriage and parenting.
In 1972, they moved to Palm Desert, California with their first newborn son, to help plant an Evangelical Free Church, now called the Southwest Church. While there, their second son was born in Palm Springs. In 1976, Pastor Ed Underhill of Fourth Memorial Church, invited the Webbs to come to Spokane Washington. While in Spokane, their third son was born, and Perry started working as carpenter for Kretz Construction. In 1978, Perry was asked to serve as pastor of the Chattaroy Community Church north of Spokane.
In 1984, the Webb family moved to Salem, Oregon to be involved with church planting for Salem Alliance Church. This was followed ministries at Silverton Alliance Church, Willamette Valley Hospice, and New Harvest Church in North Salem. Perry also worked several years as a foreman for Cliff Frey Construction, Keizer, Oregon.
In 1995, Thanks to the encouragement from Dr. David Miller, then President of Western Baptist College, Perry started teaching part time as an adjunct in Corban’s degree completion program.
