About Skeet

Skeet is a true Oregonian; born in Eugene and raised in Florence. He graduated from Siuslaw High in Florence and form Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls.

Skeet entered into the adult world with a job as a long-distance circuit technician for AT&T in Denver, Colorado, followed by working as a storeroom clerk and computer technician for International Paper in Gardner where he met his wife to be.

After marriage they moved onto a 200+ acre farm near Yachats, where Skeet took on two additional jobs; carpenter for a local contractor and superintendent of the local drinking water system. After ten years on the farm, he took a job at LBCC teaching in the Water and Wastewater Technology program which allowed him to move his family to Halsey, Oregon.

While at LBCC he began to write technical text books and eventually started a consulting and training company. Skeet went on to author over a dozen books on utility management, operations and maintenance.

For the next 25 years the consulting business provided training and technical assistance throughout the US. The business expanded into providing technical assistance to villages throughout Alaska, the Marshall Islands, Micronesia, Palau, Guam, Saipan and American Samoa. Locally the company provided training and technical assistance to all of the 135 Native American water systems in the Pacific Northwest.

Along the way, Skeet developed an interest in early American History and local politics. Upon retirement he has focused his time in these areas.
